External Independent Testing 2010 to Start June 2nd

External testing in 2010 will begin on the 2nd of June.  Registration will be held from December 15th of this year through March 31, 2010.  This information was included in an order signed by the Minister of Education and Science, Ivan Vakarchuk on December 1, 2009.

The first exams to be administered this year will be Ukrainian language and literature.  It will span three days beginning on June 2, 2009.  Upcoming graduates who choose, during the registration process, to be tested in a foreign language will do so on June 7th.  Biology and Geography tests will be administered on the 9th and 11th of June respectively.  Testing in Mathematics will occur on the 14th and 15th of June, Ukrainian history will be covered on June 17th and 18th, knowledge of chemistry will be assessed on June 21.  On June 23rd external testing will be completed with the final test being administered that day in physics.

Results of external testing will be made available by the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment (UCEQA) by July 14, 2010. 

As a reminder, during registration, future graduates are allowed to choose up to three subjects in which to be tested above and beyond the two mandatory testing subjects.  All students must take the Ukrainian language and literature exam and then must take either the mathematics or Ukrainian history test, depending on their intended major.

As a reminder, registration for those wishing to participate in external testing will begin at 9am on December 15, 2009 and will end at 6pm on March 31, 2010.  Registration will occur at designated registration points.  The addresses for the registration points can be found on the UCEQA website.
