In the L’viv Regional Center for Educational Quality Assessment 80% of anticipated secondary school graduates have already registered to participate in external independent testing (EIT). This information was provided to Obyektyvno by the L’viv Regional Center for Educational Quality Assessment (LRCEQA). As of March 2, the LRCEQA has registered 33,947 individuals. This figure represents 67% of anticipated graduates in the L’viv, Volyn’, and Rivne Regions. Of the total registered, 18,268 are from the L’viv region.
The most popular subject, after the obligatory Ukrainian Language and Ukrainian History or Mathematics, is Geography which 5,500 pupils from the L’viv region have signed up for and Biology which 5,000 have signed up for. Also, close to 1-2% of EIT registrants have already changed the subjects that they would like to be tested in at least once. Previous year graduates account for 14% of those registered.
The LRCEQA believes that the remaining month is more than enough time for the remainder of individuals wishing to participate in EIT to register.
Registration for EIT began on December 15, 2009 and continues through March 31, 2010.
EIT testing will occur according to the following schedule: Ukrainian Language and Literature—June 2, 3, and 4, Foreign Languages—June 7, Biology—June 9, Geography—June 11, Mathematics—June 14 and 15, Ukrainian History—June 17 and 18, Chemistry—June 21, and Physics—June 23. The Results of EIT are to be announced by July 14th.
