First Meeting of the Admission Campaign 2010 Headquarters occurred on July 13th

On July 13, the first meeting of the Admission Campaign 2010 Headquarters took place.  The Admission Campaign Headquarters was created by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MoES).  The MoES press service announced that during the meeting issues connected to the main activities and tasks that are needed to ensure control over the admission campaign to establishments of higher educational (HEIs) in Ukraine were discussed. 

The Admission Campaign 2010 Headquarters was created with the goal of securing control over the admission campaign process to HEIs and to combat illegal actives during the process.   The headquarters will be staffed throughout the application, selection and acceptance phases of the Admission Campaign. 

The Headquarters is led by Dmytro Tabachnyk, Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, and includes the Deputy Minister Yevhen Sulima, Leonid Hubers’kyy, Chancellor of the Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University and President of the Ukrainian HEI Chancellor’s Association, Anatoliy Mazaraki, Chancellor  of the Kyiv National Trade and Economics University and President of the Civic Council of the Department of Higher Education, Ihor Likarchuk, Director of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment (UCEQA), Nataliya Yaunina, the leader of the All-Ukrainian Student Council from the Secretariat, representatives from other ministries and MoES professionals. 

The MoES of Ukraine issued a recommendation that during the duration of the 2010 admission campaign Ministries and Departments that oversee HEIs create their own Headquarters to address issues related to the 2010 Admission Campaign.
