On Ratifying Changes to the Rules of Admission to Establishments of Higher Education in Ukraine 

On implementing Ukrainian Law on Higher Education, Article 18 

ORDERS:

1. To ratify changes to the Rules of Admission to Establishments of Higher Education (HEIs) in Ukraine, ratified by order #873 of the Ministry of Education and Sciences (MoES) of Ukraine dated September 18, 2010 and registered with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine as #930/16946 (amended) on October 6, 2010, as added.   

2. To HEIs Chancellors in Ukraine:

    Change individual HEI rules of admissions to reflect changes ratified by this order. 

    Inform secondary school graduates of the changes made to reflect the newly ratified rules of

                admission to HEIs.  

3. Maintain control over the execution of these orders. 

4. This order becomes effective on the day it is officially published.

Changes to the Rules of Admission to HEIs of Ukraine 

1. Chapter V, Articles 5.3-5.7 to change the text to read:

“5.3. Accepting applications for the traditional form of education on the basis of a full basic secondary education ends on August 5, except as noted in 5.4 and 5.5 of this Chapter. 

5.4. Accepting applications from individuals who are applying on the basis of a full basic secondary education and plan on taking entrance exams administered by HEIs as indicated in articles 8.1-8.3 of chapter VIII, will end on July 27th.  Entrance exams will be administered in two sessions from July 23 through August 5th.  

5.5. Accepting applications from individuals, who need to submit portfolios for evaluation as allowed in articles 7.3 and 7.5 of Chapter VII, will end on July 27th.  Portfolio evaluations will be conducted in two sessions from July 23 through August 5th. 

5.6. Accepting applications from individuals on the basis of basic secondary education will end on July 27th.  Entrance exams will be administered in two sessions from July 23 through August 5th. 

5.7. The rankings list of graduates applying to HEIs on the basis of generalized or full secondary education, together with those recommended for acceptance will be publicized no later than August 6th.” 

2. Chapter V, Article 5.9, change the text to read: 

“5.9 The list of applicants who applied on the basis of a generalized or full secondary education to the traditional form of study and are being offered full government scholarships to fill government quotas will be announced no later than August 15th.  Tuition paying students will be offered admission after students in each specialty accept their admittance, but no later than August 25th.”
